WHY DOES THIS EXIST? // FILE 001

the internet
got too quiet.

So we made our own corner. No polished college brochure energy. No pretending every day is a LinkedIn post. Just PICT as experienced by the people actually here.

THE MANIFESTO, SORT OF

what we’re actually doing here

CASE 01THE REQUEST

we wanted more.

Our seniors built something for the PICT community. We saw the idea, saw what it could become, and thought: okay, but what if we took it further?

CASE 02THE VIBE

not another meme page.

PICT.lol is for the memes, obviously. But also the placement reality, campus lore, events, rants, inside jokes, opinions, and all the stuff that makes PICT, PICT.

CASE 03THE PROMISE

the good. the bad. the unhinged.

We are not here to blindly praise college. We are not here to blindly hate it either. We are here for the actual student experience — reported by the students living it.

A SMALL NOTE FROM THE ARCHIVES

when conversation disappears,
people notice.

The PICT community on Reddit, /r/PICTPune, was one place students used to talk about college realities, placements, experiences, and the uncomfortable stuff.

From our perspective, some of those conversations were mass-reported and removed over time. Whether you agreed with every post or not, watching discussions disappear made one thing pretty obvious: students need a place to talk without every uncomfortable conversation simply going quiet.

PERSPECTIVE
THINGS THAT BELONG HERE
MEMES.RANTS.LORE.EVENTS.OPINIONS.WHISPERS.RECEIPTS.CHAOS.

basically, the stuff everyone knows but nobody says out loud.

THE SHORT VERSION

students stopped waiting.
so we built the thing.

pict.lol is what happens when students build the community they wanted instead of waiting for someone else to approve it.
